Some Handy Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Wax Melts & Burner

GENERAL SAFETY

Never leave your burner unattended, use it for a couple of hours at a time, will disperse the scent enough to fill your room with fragrance.
Be careful around the burner, the wax and the ceramic burner do get very hot and will burn your fingers if touched!
Important Please Remember:
– Keep melted wax away from children and pets.
– Always use within sight, and never leave unattended.
– Always ensure that you do not overfill your bowl
– Wax will remain hot after the tea light has been extinguished.
– Do not try to move the oil burner or wax melter until it has cooled completely, and the wax has solidified.
– Only ever use unscented tea lights
– Only use standard sized tea lights (burn time is approx. 3 – 4hrs).  Never use the larger 8hr tea lights! And never use more than 1 tealight at a time.
– Ensure that the surface under the melter is heatproof.
– Do not eat the melts – although they look gorgeous they are definitely not edible!

-If you have allergies please be aware that essential oils can cause allergic reactions.

CLEANING
Be sure to blow out your tea light before handling the burner – leave it to cool first before you touch it
Good ways to empty your burner of old wax – light a tea light for just a couple of minutes to slightly melt the wax around the edge of the dish.  Blow out the candle and losen the wax and you can easily slide it out into the bin, wipe around the dish with a damp cloth or paper towel.
Alternatively you can melt the wax completely and then use cotton wool balls to soak up the molten wax and clean out the dish, a little more messy but just as effective – just mind your fingers as the wax doesn’t get quite hot!
Every now and then clean out the wax and pop the burner into a bowl of hot soapy water, any sooty marks will come off and it will look like new again.
Remember – dont pour wax down your sink or bath plug!  – It will clog up the plumbing!!
FRAGRANCE DIFFUSION AND HOME SCENTS
One or 2 melts should be used at a time, this will give you a good fragrance without overfilling the dish.
Using a 4 hour tea-light will ensure that your burner will not be left on too long and overheat – don’t be tempted to put a larger candle in your burner.
Our wax melts will disperse their fragrance oil between 6 – 8 hours and then you will need to replace them with fresh ones.
Every season we create new fragrances and develop new decorative botanicals.  This is because we make everything in small batches and use our own flowers from our garden wherever we possibly can.
Try mixing our fragrances to create your own combinations!
